Quiet Waters Park: Not as large as Markham, 427 acres, but another great park in Broward County. This one is in Deerfield Beach. Quiet Waters also has no gate admission fees Monday through Friday, and only $1.00 per person on weekends/holidays. Free always under 5 years of age. Some of their most popular activities include: swimming, fishing, canoe, water-ski, camp, picnic, enjoy a playground, 5.5 mile mountain bike trail, or play in an awesome water playground called Splash Adventure.

Canoes and paddleboats are available for rent and the campsites are already set up and ready for use. Heavy duty rainproof tents on wooden platforms to be exact. Large enough to easily fit a couple of queen sized air mattresses. There is water at each site, but no electricity. $25/site with a 4 person limit. Restrooms are nearby and do have electrical outlets available for use (restrictions apply). The fire pits are large and great for stocking up wood on cool winter nights. Splash Adventure is a water playground in 18 inches of water that's great for little kids. There are small slides, tunnels, and other water toys to make your time there very splashy! Use of Splash Adventure is $3 per person per two hour session. Admission to this area also pays for use of the swimming beach, or you can use the beach alone all day for $3 per person. Quiet Waters is also the home to the Florida Renaissance Festival every year. Look for it around February.
